he mcmann forums work to promote a healthy and positive environment. This means that it is not only necessary, but it is fully required that we uphold our own rules and guidelines as to prevent an undesirable or toxic atmosphere.

The following rules are superseded by a general "common sense" rule of thumb. This implies that there should be no posting things of sexual, discriminatory or racist content. The following rules will adhere to and expand upon those definitions.

Forum Rules as of 11/21/2019

• The following topics are prohibited:
  • Anything sexual, racial or discriminatory.
  • Mature content. Tasteful exposure is acceptable, however, nudity and pornography are not.
  • Piracy or illegal content.
• Do not advertise non-approved servers and discords.
• Do not troll, insult, flame or bully other users.
  • Polite arguments are allowed and expected. However, as soon as comments are considered to be discriminatory or offensive, you are breaking this rule.
• Do not post copyrighted material.
  • It must be approved (and proven to be) by the owner and must fall in line with the terms of service provided by their terms of service.
• Do not indulge in gambling games that involve real-life currencies.
• Maintain and respect the privacy of others.
  • In other words: do not post/expose private conversations, do not expose private personal information, etc. Permission must be visibly provided by all parties of the private conversation or conversations.
• Align with thread topics.
  • If the thread is in active use, please try to maintain the present topic and prevent it from derailing.
• Do NOT post spam or random threads/posts.
  • All content should have a purpose.
• Keep your account information private.
  • Do not share your account or its details. Basically, if one was to gain access to your account then proceed to break a number of rules, you will be held responsible unless access to the account was unwillingly accessed. You will have to appeal your punishment depending on the severity.
• Do not post threads in the incorrect sections.
• Do not backseat moderate.
• Do not excessively tag people.
• Do not post "Goodbye" or "Leaving" posts.
  • There is a distinct difference between begging for attention and giving a farewell. If you wish to wish farewell, please utilize the private messaging function of the forums or other chatting services.
