Mana, commonly known to Aekonians as Vitality, is just that: life energy, which happens to be your stamina!
It's said that every living thing has a mana pool, meaning that every living being can cast magic with the help of an affinity stone. Affinity stones act as gates that allow your mana to flow into the spells you cast. The amount of mana used in a spell depends on the class of magic, as well as how much you put into the incantation. In other words, if you do not have a very strong incantation, your magic will reflect that.
There are a number of affinities within the world of ZCraft Fantasy, with the most prominent ones being: Fire, Water, and Earth. Though each of these affinities do have spells in common, they also have affinity-specific spells in both support and offense. One is born with their affinity, and these affinities also happen to be genetic. Affinities also reflect one's personality.
Those with an affinity for water are more likely to be gentle, healers, or religious leaders. As such, those with an affinity for water must use their magic through more gentle incantations. An example of such could be, "I am Adriana, source of thy power. I have read and deciphered the laws of nature, and request the water around me to grant my target a new blessing. Holy Veil!" (Holy Veil, a potentially in-development spell, would be utilized by priests and priestesses of their religion to gain a temporary strength boost. This strength could vary with the strength of one's belief in their respective religion.) The affinity stones of these individuals would likely appear as a blue rock or gem, such as an aquamarine stone or lapis lazuli.
Those with an affinity for fire are more likely to be dangerous, destructive, or generally eccentric. It's important to note that each affinity would have support spells specific to their affinity. Those with this affinity for fire are mostly confined within the Crimson Demon subrace of human, living within the Crimson Magic Village. Their incantations would normally be grander with something of a "cool-factor;" something like "I am Myriani, source of thy power. I have read and deciphered the laws of nature. In the name of the Crimson Demons, let the collapse of thine origin manifest and engulf my target in a tirade of flames! Veil of Fire!" (Veil of Fire, a potentially in-development spell, would be utilized combatively by any who choose to learn it within the fire affinity. This spell would encase their target in an appropriately named veil of fire, effectively trapping them with the risk of burning themselves, possibly fatally.) The affinity stones of these individuals would likely appear as a red rock or gem, such as a red ruby or a fiery opal.
Those with an affinity for Earth are more likely to lean more neutral in terms of personality extremes. This means they can be calm and collected, or total bringers of chaos. Those with this affinity are likely to be in touch with nature and are historically known to be majority Demihumans. Though it is undecided within the ZCraft staff team how the magic of those with this affinity would work, my personal belief is that their incantations would go as follows: "I, Sam, have read and deciphered the laws of nature. May the power of the Earth encase my target in an inescapable tomb. Rock Prison!" (Rock Prison, a potentially in-development spell, would be utilized combatively by any who choose to learn it within the Earth affinity. This spell would encase their target in an appropriately named prison of rocks. The strength of this 'prison' would greatly depend on the capabilities of the casting wizard and their incantation.) The affinity stones of these individuals would likely appear as a green rock or gem, such as an emerald.
